Welcome to Reps, a workout tracking app operated by Alex Coady (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the Reps mobile application (the “App”). By using Reps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Workout Data

When you use Reps, we collect and store your workout information, including:

  • Exercise names and types
  • Sets, reps, and weight lifted
  • Workout dates and times
  • Personal records and training history
  • Rest timer preferences

Account Information

To enable you to sign in and sync your data across devices, we collect the following information when you create an account using Google or Apple Sign-In:

  • Email address
  • Name (if provided by your authentication provider)
  • Unique user identifier

This information is managed through Firebase Authentication and is used solely to identify your account and enable data syncing across your devices.

Usage Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. This includes information such as:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Session duration and frequency
  • Anonymous usage statistics

Crash Reports and Diagnostics

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to help us identify and fix bugs. This may include device information, app state at the time of a crash, and error logs.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide workout tracking functionality: To store and display your workout data, calculate statistics, and track your progress over time

Data Storage and Security

Your workout data is securely stored in Google Cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We never sell your data. We never share your personal workout data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We only share data with the third-party services listed above (Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Google Analytics, and Sentry), and only to the extent necessary to provide the App’s functionality.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

If you are a resident of the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your data. You can delete your account and all associated data in two ways:

  • Via the App: Go to Settings and select “Delete Account”
  • Via Email: Contact us at apps@coady.me with your deletion request

Right to Access

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you. To request a copy of your data, please contact us at apps@coady.me.

Data Portability

Currently, Reps does not offer an automated data export feature. If you would like to request a copy of your workout data in a portable format, please contact us at apps@coady.me, and we will work with you to provide your data.

Data Retention

We retain your workout data for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our servers. Some anonymized analytics data may be retained for statistical purposes.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App.
